Patience is a True Virtue
One of the biggest lessons that came out of my own experience with business ownership is this: Don’t rush the process!
Franchising is often presented with a sense of urgency. Timelines. Limited availability. “Now is the moment” messaging. Those signals can create pressure from the outside.
But urgency doesn’t only come from the environment. It also builds internally. The excitement of possibility. The desire to move forward. The relief of having a decision finally take shape.
What I’ve seen after years in business is that the biggest mistakes don’t come from lack of intelligence. They come from decisions made under pressure, before someone has the space to fully understand how they want to operate day to day.
Urgency narrows thinking.
Patience creates clarity.
That space allows you to evaluate fit.
Fit between the owner and the business model.
Fit between lifestyle and expectations.
Fit between risk tolerance and reality.
When those things align, a business has a far better chance of succeeding for the right reasons.
This is where guidance really matters.
If you’re navigating this decision thoughtfully and want to talk it through, I’m always open to that conversation.
